He was the fourth child of Fred Trump, a successful property developer, and Mary MacLeod Trump. Trump completed his schooling at the New York Military Academy and later studied at Fordham University before graduating with a degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

After completing his education, Trump joined his father’s real estate business, which managed thousands of residential housing units in New York.
